West Virginia Credit Union League Meeting is FTK!

WVU Medicine Children’s Program Director, Ashley Horbachewski and Assistant Program Director, Samantha Denlinger represented the kids of West Virginia, WVU Medicine Children’s and the Children’s Miracle Network at West Virginia Credit Union’s 83rd Annual League Meeting from May 16-17, 2019.

On Thursday, May 16, a live auction was held at the League Meeting and all proceeds went to WVU Medicine Children’s CU Learning project. Ashley and Samantha had the privilege of displaying a CMN/WVU Medicine Children’s table, with information relating to the CU Learning project.

The CU Learning project is a program provided by Credit Union for Kids, a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions across the country engaged in fundraising activities to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The CU Learning project closely syncs the standards being taught in a child’s classroom. This program helps maintain the feeling of “normalcy” in each child that walks into WVU Medicine Children’s for treatment, by providing educational opportunities and growth.

WVU Medicine Children’s staff had a great time meeting members of Credit Unions across the state of WV and the region, that support WVU Medicine Children’s and the CU Learning project.
